Myopia or Nearsightedness

Myopia occurs when the curvature of the cornea is too steep, causing light entering the eye to be focused in front of the retina instead of directly on it. As a result, objects in the distance appear blurry. However, this condition can be corrected with prescription glasses, contact lenses, and LASIK surgery.
