64 - slice MDCT

&nbsp;MDCT is using high speed CT machine with extremely high speed and pixel. &nbsp;It can produce up to 64 pictures in one circle (360 degrees) with on 0.4 seconds. &nbsp;In order words, it can yield 160-170 x-ray pictures within 1 second resulting in the heart examination, which is an organ that is constantly moving, accurately and clearly. &nbsp;It can detect the heart wall, artery wall to see is there is blockage and it can also find pathological condition that has occurred such as brain, skull, arm and leg bones, spinal cord, and all abdomen internal organs such as liver, spleen, gall bladder, pancreas, kidney and for female; womb, ovary and for male such as bladder, prostate gland, to detect tumor, water sac, gull stone or infection in different organs, and the dispersion of cancer cells.&nbsp;

High speed CT examination 
1. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Checking for lime deposit at the artery wall to assess the Coronary artery calcification risk. 2. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Checking for abnormality for Coronary CT angiography and cardiac function 3. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; CT Angiography at different organs such as carotid, brain, breast cavity and abdomen cavity and at the arm and leg area. 4. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Checking for cancer in the high risk group prior to the symptom appearing such as lung cancer in smoker, Low dose CT. Screening and CT Colonography.&nbsp; 
Recommendation for prior to examination preparation &nbsp; 
CT Colonography&nbsp;
This examination is able to detect tumor in the intestine that is growing abnormally with the size from 6 mm and over easily. &nbsp;There is no need to insert long tube and is able to examine the intestine in the position that cannot be examined by using the camera. &nbsp;The examination can be done within 15-20 minutes and able to see different abdomen internal organs in only examination. &nbsp; 
Preparation for the examination:&nbsp; 
Since the intestine wall needs to be looked at, it needs to be cleaned prior to undergoing the examination by eating non-fiber food for the period of 2 days and taking laxative 1 day prior to undergoing the examination.&nbsp; 
Examination procedure&nbsp;
1. &nbsp;Pushing wind into the intestine through anus&nbsp; 2. &nbsp;Lay still on the examination bed in the position arranged by the staff. Buscopan may be injected for the intestine to expand &nbsp; 3. &nbsp;Follow the instruction by the staff such as breathing in and out and holding the breath in order for the picture to be clear&nbsp; 4. &nbsp;Collect the information with CT &nbsp;&nbsp; 5. &nbsp;Analyze the information and create 2 and 3 dimensional picture of the intestine
 Recommendation for preparation prior to heart and Coronary artery CT&nbsp;
Prior undergo examination 
&#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Do not drink and eat for at least 4-6 hours &#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Medication can be taken regularly except for diabetics, the diabetes medication should not be taken &#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The staff requests for information concerning contrast media allergic reaction, seafood allergic reaction, medication allergic reaction, suffering from violent asthma, heart disease and kidney related disease. &#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The patient must have undergone EKG with the result at least 3 days prior to undergoing the examination &nbsp;&#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The nurse will give soluble water through IV in the arm fold area in order to inject the contrast media &nbsp; &#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;If the patient hear beat were over 70 beat per minutes, it may be necessary to inject medication for slowing down the hear beat a half an hour prior to the examination &#8211; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;During the examination, the patient must follow the instruction by the staff such as breathing in and out and holding the breath for at least 15 minutes in order for the picture to be clear. 
Note: &nbsp;If you think that you&rsquo;re pregnant or have history of contrast media allergic reaction, seafood allergic reaction, medication allergic reaction, asthma, please informs the staff prior to the examination. &nbsp;If you have taken blood pressure related medication on the date of the examination, please inform the staff prior to the examination.

Preparation prior to CT Upper Abdomen with contrast media &nbsp;injection&nbsp;
&#8211; &nbsp;Do not drink or eat for at least 4-6 hours&nbsp; &#8211; &nbsp;Medication can be taken regularly except for diabetics, the diabetes medication should not be taken&nbsp; &#8211; &nbsp;The staff requests for information concerning contrast media allergic reaction, seafood allergic reaction, medication allergic reaction, suffering from violent asthma, heart disease and kidney related disease&nbsp; &#8211; Generally, the physician will have the patient drink roughly 500 cc of contrast media 10-30 minutes prior to the examination &#8211; The nurse will give soluble water through IV in the arm fold area in order to inject the contrast media &nbsp; &#8211; &nbsp;During the examination, the examination bed will move in and out frequently, please lay still and not move and during the examination, the patient must follow the instruction by the staff such as breathing in and out and holding the breath in order for the picture to be clear. &nbsp;

Preparation prior to CT Whole Abdomen with contrast media &nbsp;injection&nbsp;
&#8211; &nbsp;Do not drink or eat for at least 4-6 hours&nbsp; &#8211; &nbsp;Medication can be taken regularly except for diabetics on the date of examination &nbsp; &#8211; &nbsp;The staff requests for information concerning contrast media allergic reaction, seafood allergic reaction, suffering from violent asthma, heart disease and kidney related disease prior to the examination &#8211; Generally, the physician will have the patient drink roughly 1000 cc of contrast media 1-2 hours prior to the examination or the contrast media might need to be injected through the anus. &#8211; The nurse will give soluble water through IV in the arm fold area in order to inject the contrast media &nbsp;During the examination, the patient must follow the instruction by the staff such as breathing in and out and holding the breath for at least 15 minutes in order for the picture to be clear
