While bending, I felt a sharp pain along the spine and had back pain for about a month. The symptoms gradually improved, but after about 2 months, I accidentally bent down incorrectly again, causing immediate back pain. This time, it was not just back pain; after 2-3 days, I started having radiating pain down my leg, making me unable to walk for about 10 days. Two days after surgery, everything was almost 100% fine with only slight leg stiffness. Today, less than a week after surgery, I have no back pain and can walk smoothly. I was able to get out of the car and come to the doctor for a follow-up by myself. It feels like I never had a herniated disc surgery. The surgical wound is just a small hole a few millimeters in size. I didn’t need physical therapy and had a very short hospital stay. My body recovered quickly because there was minimal blood loss and little trauma from the surgical wound.
