一般信息
“In treating diseases of the nasal cavity and sinuses, we adhere to high medical standards using endoscopic surgery. We also incorporate advanced innovations such as the Microdebrider-Assisted technique to treat chronic rhinitis, and the use of Radio Frequency devices to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa that can obstruct the nasal passage. These methods help decrease blockage, reduce the formation of nasal polyps, and lower the chances of infection being trapped inside. Surgical techniques continue to evolve, and with these innovations, treatment today is far more effective than in the past.”
Dr. Siriphen Mukbunditphong graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, and later obtained a board certification in Otolaryngology (ENT) from the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University. She shared her inspiration and medical training experience:
“During the fourth year of medical school, all students rotate through various departments to gain hands-on experience. When I joined the ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) unit, I found myself particularly interested in the examination and treatment processes. I was also impressed by the skills of the ENT faculty. That’s when I decided to specialize in Otolaryngology. After completing my required service as a general practitioner, I pursued further training at Khon Kaen University and now work exclusively in this field.”
Treating ENT Conditions and Facial/Head Trauma
Dr. Siriphen provides care for patients with conditions related to the ears, nose, and throat, as well as facial and head injuries. Among the most common conditions she treats are nasal cavity disorders, sinusitis, nasal polyps, nasal tumors, allergies, and common colds.
In every treatment, Dr. Siriphen communicates directly and clearly with her patients. She conducts thorough history-taking and physical examinations and explains the condition, treatment options, surgical procedures, post-operative care, and recovery timelines. She ensures patients receive complete and understandable information and takes time to answer all their questions so they feel prepared and empowered to make informed decisions.
“Being a good listener allows me to understand the patient’s thoughts, worries, or limitations. This enables me to provide clear explanations, reduce their anxiety, and ultimately lead to more effective treatment.”
With over 13 years of experience treating and performing surgeries at Phyathai Phaholyothin Hospital, Dr. Siriphen emphasizes the importance of listening to patients to fully understand their problems and offer accurate solutions.
“I believe in giving patients confidence by offering clear treatment plans and caring for them as if they were my own family. The success of treatment depends on the cooperation between doctor and patient. This collaborative process leads to effective outcomes. Ultimately, my goal is to help patients return to good health and enjoy a high quality of life, free from illness and pain.”
