What is the prostate gland?

The prostate gland is a  part of a male genital organ that has the function of producing lubricant and semen. However, the gland with cancer becomes one of the 10 most common cancer in Thai men.In an early time, the prostate cancer had become a number 9th disease compared to other types of cancer. But in the past ten years. The number of patients has been increasing until now, and recently moved to number 4 on the list.

 

The cause of prostate cancer.

The initial symptoms which indicate that a man may have prostate cancer is a feeling of going to urinate urgently in the night.  Including having urinary incontinence due to cancer growth, which it also blocks the urinary tract. Many people have died of prostate cancer. Because they overlook to the disorder within the body. Which may cause by  the misconception of having the symptoms at an older age is normal especially with their urinary system. Accordingly, they may also not think of any warning signs.

 

In the beginning, the symptoms are unclearly shown. A doctor will diagnose with the digital rectal examination by inserting fingers into the prostate gland. If there is a rough or hard epithelium , there may be a risk of prostate cancer. However, there is also blood tests provided by the doctor to see prostatic specific antigen. Generally, normal PSA blood levels in a human body has  0-4 ng / ml, but if the PSA blood levels are more than 4 ng / ml. A person may have prostate cancer, prostatitis or normal prostate enlargement. In conclusion, If there is a risk. The doctor will remove some tissue to make sure what disease patients are having and continue a treatment appropriately.
