Boost immunity and prevent illness by supplementing the body with essential vitamins.

“Immunity” is like the first wall that helps resist pathogens from entering the body and also functions to eliminate pathogens that manage to get in. It is very important for health, but many people overlook it, thinking that the body naturally produces immunity well enough and does not need any supplements or additional care. In reality! For the body to build good and sufficient immunity, part of it must come from taking care of various aspects of one’s health. One of the ways to increase and strengthen our immunity is by getting a complete and adequate intake of vitamins, which can be done in several ways, such as

1. Eating Food

Choosing good food sources with high vitamin content helps boost the body’s immune system, including

  • Vitamin C is abundant in various fresh vegetables and fruits. Vegetables high in vitamin C include cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, celery, spring onions, peas, taro leaves, cassava leaves, bitter melon leaves, Chinese cabbage, kale, spinach, coriander, morning glory, moringa, mango shoots, and papaya shoots. Fruits rich in vitamin C include cherries, various oranges, lemons, guava, Indian gooseberry, tamarind, papaya, pomelo, and strawberries.
  • Vitamin A helps promote the immune system’s function. Good food sources that the body can absorb and utilize vitamin A from include animal organs, egg yolks, milk, dairy products, and secondary sources from plants such as dark green leafy vegetables, yellow and orange vegetables and fruits like ivy gourd, morning glory, carrots, pumpkin, yellow sweet potatoes, and ripe papaya.
  • Vitamin D plays an important role in stimulating the body’s immune system. It has been found that T cells and B cells, which are white blood cells responsible for eliminating foreign invaders threatening the body, have Vitamin D Receptors that help stimulate and enhance immunity to better eliminate bacteria, viruses, and even cancer cells. Currently, many studies support vitamin D supplementation to help fight various cancers such as colon cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. Although the body can synthesize vitamin D under the skin through UVB (Ultraviolet B ray) exposure and from consuming omega-3 rich fish like salmon, tuna, mackerel, and sardines, it is often insufficient.
  • Zinc is involved in the growth and division of cells related to the immune system and controls the function of enzymes that are key mechanisms in the immune system. Good food sources, considering quantity and absorption for utilization, include meats and offal, oysters, poultry, and fish, with secondary sources being eggs and milk.

2. Taking Vitamin Supplements in Pill Form

This method allows a large amount of vitamins to enter the body at once because it extracts concentrated vitamins compressed into pill form. Choosing the right vitamin pills suitable for our body is important. Currently, there is a method to check which vitamins the body lacks by testing “Micronutrients,” which helps us know the current levels of vitamins and minerals in our body to supplement the deficient parts for balance.

3. Vitamin Drip into the Body

This involves injecting vitamins directly into the bloodstream, allowing for concentrated vitamin intake and faster results than taking vitamin pills. Intravenous vitamin administration can stimulate the immune system to fight antioxidants that damage the skin and various organs. It nourishes both internal organs and external skin, stimulates white blood cell production, and balances the body’s immunity. It is suitable for people who want to boost their immunity and those who are frequently tired, often sick, or easily fall ill to become stronger.

Vitamins are essential nutrients for the body at all ages. Whether the body is healthy or sick, vitamins play a direct role in strengthening the body. If the body lacks vitamins, immunity will be low, the body will weaken, and it will be easier to get sick. Therefore, we should pay attention to vitamin intake through various channels and not neglect to take care of ourselves by boosting our immunity to help maintain sustainable good health.
