The science of caring for infants in terms of development and behavior
The doctor’s work is divided into 3 main areas:
- Child development work involves caring for the development or abilities of children at each stage of life, from the womb to adolescence, consisting of 4 main areas: gross motor skills, fine motor skills, language and communication, social and adaptive skills.
- Child behavior work involves caring for the child’s emotions and appropriate expressions towards others and the environment, and helping parents understand what the child expresses in order to find ways to solve problems together.
- Growth work involves promoting appropriate height and weight according to sex and age.
