Create an "S-shaped waist" with Vaser LipoSelection.

Many women want a smaller waist because it allows them to wear clothes beautifully and feel more confident. Therefore, we would like to recommend VASER, an advanced ultrasound technology that can remove fat without damaging the surrounding tissues. Additionally, VASER helps tighten the skin and recover faster than traditional methods.

Vaser LipoSelection New Technology… Targets Only Fat Cells

This technology uses a small needle, only 1-2 millimeters, to deliver sound wave energy at a frequency that destroys only fat cells. This makes fat removal easier and allows selective fat destruction (LipoSelection) without harming surrounding tissues. It is as effective as traditional liposuction but gentler with fewer side effects. Moreover, VASER helps tighten the skin and speeds up recovery, providing the best fat removal results with minimal side effects, avoiding issues like uneven skin or cavities seen in past liposuction methods.

What are the advantages of this technology over others?

VASER involves a small skin incision less than 1 cm to insert the VASER probe into the fat layer. The post-surgery wound is just a small ordinary scratch on the skin. It is a minor surgery but requires an experienced surgeon, specialized medical team, and nurses for the highest patient safety. The advantages of this method include:

  • Because the incision is small, there is less blood loss, swelling, and bruising, and it is generally less painful.
  • Less damage to blood vessels and nerves because the ultrasound waves specifically target fat destruction, increasing safety.
  • Shorter recovery time with no need for hospital stay.
  • Suitable for areas with a lot of fibrosis or for repeat procedures.
  • Removes more fat than other methods.
  • Results in smoother skin compared to regular liposuction.

How to prepare before Vaser LipoSelection

Patients must meet with the surgeon to check health, skin condition, and fat accumulation, measure and assess fat volume, and evaluate skin laxity. Inform the doctor about any underlying diseases and drug allergies, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma. Avoid medications and supplements that cause blood thinning. Take a shower to clean the body and fast from food and water for at least 6 hours. It is advisable to avoid the procedure during menstruation. If blood pressure is high, it should be controlled below 140/90 mmHg. Patients with chronic diseases or weak health should not have large amounts of fat removed at once due to blood loss affecting circulation. Also, prepare to take 1-2 days off work. Smokers are advised to quit smoking 1-2 weeks before surgery.

Post-liposuction care must strictly follow the doctor’s instructions

After liposuction, patients need to wear a special compression garment 24 hours a day for the first 2-4 weeks to support and compress the treated area, both day and night, except when bathing. After that, it is recommended to wear a body suit during daytime activities for another 4-6 months or longer as advised by the doctor. Once the swelling in the treated area subsides, the swelling may shift downward. Patients should continue wearing compression garments on the treated area for another 2-6 months during the day, which can be removed at night.

During the first 1-3 days, the surgical wound may ooze saline. If there is fluid leakage, change the gauze dressing at least once a day. Swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, or burning sensations may occur but are temporary during the initial post-surgery period.

After 1-6 months, all swelling and bruising will disappear, with the speed depending on the amount of fat removed and the body area treated. Generally, patients can return to work within 2-7 days and can drive once they can move their arms and legs normally and have stopped taking pain medication. Heavy work or exercise should be resumed at least 2-4 weeks after surgery.

How long is the recovery time?

Patients must return for follow-up within the first week after surgery and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions. Attending scheduled follow-ups is very important as missing them may cause complications. Recovery time varies individually depending on the amount of fat removed and the number of treated areas. If patients need to return to work the next day, they may do so if the work does not involve much physical movement.

Precautions and risks of liposuction

Common side effects include swelling, bruising, minor bleeding, skin abrasions, or burns, which usually resolve within 2-6 weeks. Infection is very rare.

Immediate results after treatment

Many patients can see changes immediately after treatment. Some may need to wait 2-4 weeks for swelling to subside. Skin tightening results become clearly visible 4-6 months after treatment.

However, whether the results are permanent depends on continuous and consistent diet control and exercise.
