Recommended immunizations vaccine for children... new parents need to know.

Baby health is one of a consideration during pregnancy. From first stage after childbirth until 1 year needs more special attention due to this phase infant risks to be infected by diseases. Thus, parents do not ignore to take their child to receive a recommended immunizations vaccine for children. These following are essential vaccinations for your children. 

 

 

 

 

1. BCG vaccine

It is a vaccine against tuberculosis in children which baby is required to be injected within 24 hours after a childbirth. In order to prevent vomiting, fever, bad headache, including a possible stiff neck. Accordingly tuberculosis is easily infect through breathing or wound.

 

2. Hepatitis B vaccine (HBV)

As soon as you know about your own pregnancy, mother has to see a doctor for antenatal care and blood tests. Moreover, seeking for some infections include the hepatitis B carrier because this disease spreads while a baby is fetus through placenta. However, the vaccine is divided into 3 injections first shot is after birth, second shot is in after reaching 1 month and last shot is when reaching 6 months. 

 

3. Diphtheria Vaccine – Tetanus – pertussis (DTwP)

This vaccine provides a vaccine against three diseases, there are diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough, which are transmitted through coughing or sneezing also infected through the wounds. For the injection has 3 shots including 2 booster shots. Which, the first injection is at the age of 2 months following by 4 months and 6 months later taking it again to stimulate at the age of one year and a half including 4 years.

 

4. Polio Vaccine (OPV)

When polio is released into body. It will destroy the spinal cord and nervous system. Until muscle weakness occurs, and it may even cause to be paralyzed. For vaccination of this type is by eating or dropping. In addition receiving 3 times for injection which is when the baby is 2 months , 4 months  and 6 months old.

 

5. Vaccination against measles – Rubella – Mumps (MMR)

If a mother is infected with measles or rubella during pregnancy. May cause the fetus to disability. Therefore, children should be vaccinated at the age of 9 – 12 months old for the prevention. Because only one injection can prevent the disease in lifetime. This vaccine can protect all three diseases by injecting one shot at the age of 9-12 months old or older then be injected again at the age of 4-6 years old.

 

6. Vaccination against Japanese encephalitis (JE)

This disease is contagious by mosquitoes as carriers. When mosquitoes fly to bite animals with encephalitis virus then bite a child. The virus can be transmitted through blood. The infection will break up until get to brain which also cause fatality. However, this vaccination It is divided into 2 injection which is when a baby is  9-18 months old by injection the first and second shots is 4 weeks apart and take  booster shots again when an infant is about 2 years  old or 2 years and a half.
