Get to Know... Respiratory Care Unit (RCU)

Respiratory Care Unit is open for critical patients with respiratory system problems in all specialties, providing intensive care according to effective medical standards by appropriately applying nursing processes covering Holistic Care without complications to promote health and ensure satisfaction for patients and their families with attentive medical and service care.

Inside the Respiratory Care Unit, there are patient rooms and special isolation rooms for patients with airborne infectious diseases.

The special isolation rooms are used for treating patients such as tuberculosis patients, SARS patients, avian influenza patients, etc. These special isolation rooms can filter pathogens as small as 5 microns, have Double Doors which are two-layer doors, and a Negative Pressure air suction system. When the door to the room is opened, this system helps prevent and remove contaminated air inside the room by suctioning it for further filtration, ensuring safety in preventing the spread of infectious agents.

Additionally, the Respiratory Care Unit has digitally controlled patient beds that can precisely adjust the bed angle to support treatment, facilitating appropriate and highly effective care.
