A Thai Work Permit is a permit that allows foreign nationals to work, conduct business, or be employed in various professions in Thailand. It is used together with a visa. Foreign nationals must first apply to change their visa status to a Non-Immigrant Visa “B” (Business Visa) and then apply for a Work Permit in order to legally work in the Kingdom of Thailand.
To legally work in Thailand, applicants must submit a medical certificate for a work permit application. This certificate must be issued by a licensed physician authorized by the Medical Council of Thailand and must certify that the applicant is not physically disabled to the extent that they cannot perform their duties, and does not show signs or symptoms of the following 7 prohibited diseases
1.Leprosy in its contagious stage
2.Advanced pulmonary tuberculosis
3.Elephantiasis
4.Drug addiction
5.Syphilis in the third stage
6.Chronic alcoholism
7.Psychosis or Intellectual Disability
Medical Examination Includes

Medical history taking and physical examination by a physician (Physical Examination)

Vital signs assessment: blood pressure, pulse, weight, and height measurement

VDRL blood test for syphilis screening

Please fast for at least 8–12 hours before the health check-up (plain water is allowed).

Applicants must be 15 years old or above.
