Phyathai 1 Hospital is pleased to provide care for international patients using international or travel insurance. Our International Insurance Team will liaise directly with your insurance provider, support all required documentation, and assist in obtaining a Guarantee of Payment (GOP) whenever eligible under your policy.
Before You Visit: Prepare These Documents
To help us process your insurance smoothly, please bring:
- Your passport + a signed copy of the passport
- Your insurance card, certificate, or proof of coverage
- A copy of your insurance policy
- Any extra documents your insurance provider may request
For Outpatient Care (OPD)
If you are coming for a consultation or outpatient treatment:
- You may visit directly and inform our staff that you plan to use insurance
- Some insurers require pre-authorization before outpatient services
- If your insurance plan does not support direct billing, you may need to pay first and claim reimbursement from your provider later.
For Admission or Surgery (IPD)
- We strongly recommend checking with your insurance company in advance to confirm eligibility and coverage
- If prior approval is required, our team can assist in preparing medical documents for submission before admission to help speed up the process
Travel Insurance Patients
Tourists with travel insurance are welcome. Please bring the standard documents listed above, plus:
- Your arrival/departure record to confirm travel dates
- A copy of your travel insurance policy
Important Information
Please note the following:
- Direct billing can proceed only after the hospital receives an official Guarantee of Payment (GOP)
- Costs not covered by your insurance policy must be paid by the patient
- Coverage depends on your insurer and plan, including benefit limits, deductibles, co-insurance, pre-existing conditions, and other policy terms
