8 behaviors of elderly risk for Heart Disease

1. Junk food intake

 

People turn to have fast food due to its convenience which being found easily nowsaday.  On the other hand, these foods not only contain high fat and sodium. But also causes nutrition deficiency. However, a good way to solve a problem is to have 5 food groups processed by boiling or steaming grilling or roasting etc. Moreover, you need to focus on foods that contain fiber such as fruits and vegetables and avoid having processed foods with a strong salty or sweet taste.

 

 

 

2. Not exercising

 

Many people have time for shopping,  party, and work, but no time to exercise. Just keep in mind wherever you are, you can do a workout whether running or aerobics which can be done at home. Including, cleaning house or washing car both of them can be another way to help you burn energy.

 

 

 

3. Smoking

 

Smoking will not only damage your health but also people around, we would like to recommend you to gradually reduce the amount of smoking each day. When you feel like smoking, please focus on something else. And avoid places and people that cause a stimulating effect. Besides, if a problem cannot be solved. Please consult a physician before it is too late.

 

 

 

4. Heavy alcohol drinking

 

If you end a day by drinking alcohol, please quickly change this behavior.Because drinking alcohol is not just a cause of heart disease but it is also a risk factor for many diseases. According to percentage of death rate in Thailand, the rate caused by the drinking is still increasing.

 

 

 

5.Having a stress

 

If your life seems like to be hung by a thread,  try turning to a favorite relaxation activity.Or meditation for mood adjustment to relax a stress in your mind. Accumulating stress for a long time not only diminishes mental health. But it also destroys physical health. And causing many diseases in the future.

 

 

 

6.  Sleep deprivation 

 

Because you are not a machine so having enough sleep is important. On account of a time when we sleep, the body will repair the deteriorated cells. And balance the hormones within the body. Including a heart rate and blood pressure. Accordingly, before going to bed you may do meditation or pray. In order to adjust the mind and relax. Which can help your sleep more effecient.

 

 

 

7. Having chronic disease

 

If you are the one with a chronic disease, such as high blood pressure, diabetes or hyperlipidemia. Do not trust that these diseases may not cause a fatal consequence. Focusing on health care,exercise,  medication and meet a  doctor following an appointment all are very neccesary. Because chronic diseases can cause a heart disease in the future.

 

8. Not receiving a health check-up

 

 

Some healthy people can die of acute heart disease. That because the heart disease has no warning signs. To prevent this situation people better focus on the annual health check instead of ignoring.Because the serious diseases can be treated after being found in an early stage.

 

Because good health cannot be on sale or trading. You must create it on your own by changing the habits,  a simple technique that will keep you fit although you are in the elderly.
