What is EF? … How important it is to your children

EF stands for Executive Functions, a thought process of the forebrain involved in ideas, emotions, and actions. As mentioned these skills are what humans need for success in learning, working, goals setting in life. Including planning and recognizing things for advantage usage. Which children can be able to control their emotions.

 

The elements of EF 

1.Working memory

Techniques to develop EF in your children are as follows ….

 

    • The most effective age for EF training is between the ages of 3 and 6.

 

    • Teach children to concentrate on their works, and not to distract themselves from what they are doing.

 

    • Practice with a discipline in daily life such as waiting in line or queues or waiting for candy after you tell them.

 

    • Teach them on how to express emotions properly with curtain situation.

 

    • Teach them to understand the feelings of others “Put themselves in other people’s shoes”

 

    •  Get the kids out in order to face a new situation and environment

 

    • Teach your child to plan, play, and solve problems while facing with them.

 

    •  Train your children to do the work themselves while parents only give them a support.

 

    • Train the children to evaluate themselves. Check the work itself. And accept the part that needs fixing. And will fix it better.

 

    • Teach your children to be involved in making decisions and be able to read the consequences.

 

  •  Train your children to analyze on work systematically and clearly manage each task.

   EF skill requires a regular practicing, learning from experiences and parents must be good role models in order to receive the best results. However, this skill will grow with your children until they become teenagers and adults. Therefore, do not let this training opportunity pass by.
