At present, after discovery this medicine group. It is considered as a new hope of cancer treatment. Which can help patients cure. And after using medicine for a while, the first phase of the treatment will give a good resulting, causing the cancer to be smaller.Lastly, cancer has its own way to evade every treatment called as drug resistance. The resistance means the cancer is trying to escape the medicine and grow in other parts instead. Making an early stages becomes success. But finally the disease becomes resistant and cause the patient to death afterward.
However, Targeted Therapy may take a longer time to study. Because there are several stages of cancer. And nowadays, most of these drugs are provided for a last stage treatment. Which there are only a few medications that have been researched as which drugs can be used to treat in an early stage. And more likely to cure the cancer.For example, Herceptin is a drug that blocks molecules on the skin of breast cancer. Which only be applied for a breast cancer that shows a positive resulting. However, a diagnosis of which type of medication can be used for cancer treatment. Doctors have to take some cancerous tissue for a detection of a receiver as which medicine can fit to it.
The treatment of Targeted Therapy is suitable for the final stage. If the patient responds to a way of treating well including there is no side effects following. Then the Targeted Therapy will be provided until the patients are cured.
